A team of 4 men aged between 17 and 35 have allegedly gang-raped a teenager at Bobrama, a town in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.

The family of the 14-year-old class six pupil is appealing to the Ellembelle District Police and the Western Regional Police Command to get the suspects arrested.

The victim, a pupil of Asenda Basic School, narrating her ordeal said, the men gave her a drink suspected to have been mixed with an unknown substance when she attended a program at the Bobrama town.

According to her, she woke up the next morning in severe pains only to discover blood stains all over her genital area.

She informed her mother who later reported the incident to the Police with her mother.

The mother of the victim, whose name was only given as Maa Gifty, indicated that parents of three of the suspects in the evening of Monday January 22, visited her family to resolve the issue amicably but their plea was rejected.

Although the incident has since been reported to the police, they are yet to effect any arrest.
