The Ghana Football Association has announced Saturday, February 11th as the starting date for the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season as approved by the Executive Committee.

The football governing body released a calendar on Monday calendar covering the 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 seasons.

A statement by the GFA read:

“Upcoming international matches for respective national teams have been included in the calendar.

However, with CAF restructuring its Inter-Clubs competitions, the calendar may be updated further to accommodate such changes”

The schedule for the upcoming season are as follow; The League will kick off on 11th February, 2018 per the provisions of the calendar.

The first round will end on Sunday, May 6 after which there will be a fortnight’s break.

The second round is scheduled to begin within two weeks of the first round.

The season will come to an end on Sunday, Augus 5.

Aduana Stars were crowned last season’s champions of the domestic top-flight after amassing an impressive  57 points.

Karela United, Dreams FC and Techiman Eleven Wonders are the newly-promoted sides who will be playing in the Ghana Premier League next season while Tema Youth, Great Olympics and Bolga All Stars have been relegated.
