The Chairman of the Ashanti regional branch of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako is reported to have said he will have an influence in the upcoming restructuring of the Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking from the side of the NDC however, the Regional Secretary Raymond Tandoh has called it a bluff, adding that it is an act of contempt knowing how boastful the Regional Chairman of the NPP is.

The Regional Secretary further said that he assures the members of the NDC as well as the disappointed Ghanaians over the unfulfilled promises of the current government that the party is focused and will step up to solve the agony facing the country.

The statement read, "We assure all members of our party and Ghanaians who are disappointed by the numerous unfulfilled promises of the NPP government and are anxiously awaiting our quick, credible and robust reorganisation to salvage this country from its current agony that we are focused".

Read the NDC reaction to the alleged comment below.

Our attention has been drawn to a campaign platform brag by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Benard Antwi Boasiako, in which he asserts he would influence the next executive structure of the National Democratic Congress during our impending internal restructuring.

Customarily, we treat his words with contempt knowing his innate ostentatious and boastful nature.

We assure all members of our party and Ghanaians who are disappointed by the numerous unfulfilled promises of the NPP government and are anxiously awaiting our quick, credible and robust reorganisation to salvage this country from its current agony that we are focused.

We urge all party members to concentrate on the on-going reorganisation exercise at their respective branches.

Raymond Tandoh

Regional Secretary
