Ghana international, Albert Adomah was dropped from the Middlesbrough squad ahead of Sunday's goalless draw with AFC Bournemouth after talks over a new deal collapsed.

The Ghana winger has less than 12 months left on his current deal and "The Smoggies" have offered a new three-year contract, but he was only offered a small increase on his wages.

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka will keep Uruguayan Cristhian Stuani in the team after his impressive display against Sunderland.

Boro are already in the market for a new winger and reports gathered reveal that Everton's Gerard Deulofeu is their target with Adomah likely to be sold.

AFC Bournemouth kept a fourth consecutive clean sheet as they recorded their first 0-0 draw of the season against Adomah's side.

The Cherries created a number of chances, with Matt Ritchie hitting the post from a narrow angle and Dimitrios Konstantopoulos spectacularly pushing away Simon Francis' effort from 25 yards.

Andrew Surman also made an opening for substitute Marc Pugh, who was unable to convert from close range.

Surman himself was then denied by Konstantopoulos, having cut in from the right and found space for a shot on the edge of the area.

Down the other end, Lee Camp didn't have a save to make, although Boro forward Lee Tomlin could have done better when he met a low cross in the six yard box just before the break.

The game's main talking point took place moments earlier when Lewis Grabban had a goal disallowed, having been pulled up for a foul on Konstantopoulos.
