Ghanaian international Alidu Seidu has started his training with Stade Rennais FC after completing a transfer to the French Ligue 1 side.

The 23-year-old defender joined the club from fellow French top-flight side Clermont Foot in a reported €11 million deal.

Having finalized the transfer on Monday, January 29, Seidu wasted no time and participated in his first training session with the Stade Rennais squad.

The training session took place as the team prepares for their upcoming match in the French Ligue 1 against Montpellier.

Capable of playing as a center-back or right-back, Seidu adds versatility to the Stade Rennais defensive line.

Fans are eager to see how the Ghanaian defender will integrate into the team and potentially make his debut in the upcoming home game against Montpellier on Saturday, February 3.

Seidu represented Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast, where he played for a total of 18 minutes.

However, Ghana exited the tournament at the group phase.
