Hearts of Oak Legend Amakwa Mireku has lauded the management of club for re signing Thomas Abbey back to the roaster after both parties failed to agree contract renewal terms at the end of last season.

”kudos to management on Thomas Abbey’s return to the club” the ex Hearts skipper said in an interview.

Abbey went on a two-week trial with South African giants Ajax Cape Town last month after he attained floating status but failed to land a deal.

Hearts of Oak however moved in swiftly amid competition from clubs local and abroad to agree terms with the inspiration skipper. He resumed training with the club earlier this week and is set to officially put pen to paper in the coming days.

Abbey had a stellar campaign with the Phobians last season and was one of the stand out players, bagging 13 goals in 28 matches.
