West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is hopeful Andre Ayew will make a swift return to action.
The Hammers’ £20m record signing suffered a thigh injury on his debut against Chelseaoin Monday night and limped after just half an hour into the 2-1 defeat.

He is now set to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the problem, although the  26-year-old is confident it is only a minor issue.

"Ayew has a thigh injury, he told me it's not a big one but you never know," said Bilic.

"He will have a scan and we have to wait for the result of the scan to know how long he will be out."

Ayew is unlikely to feature in Thursday's Europa League trip to Astra Giurgui in Romania whatever the outcome of the scan results, while another summer signing,Sofiane Feghouli, is also set to miss out with a hamstring problem.
