The 19-year-old, enjoying a stellar season in the English Championship with the Foxes, revealed that Ayew has been a source of inspiration throughout his football journey.

Ayew, renowned for his impactful performances in the Premier League with West Ham United, Swansea, and Nottingham Forest, holds a special place in Issahaku's football admiration.

"When I was coming up, I looked up to André," Issahaku told LCFC. "I liked how he played and his passion for football. He was my idol. I admired his playing style and personality."

Issahaku, who made his debut for the Black Stars at just 17 years old, had the privilege of sharing the pitch with Ayew, fulfilling a dream nurtured during his formative years.

"I remember the first time I went to the senior national team, and when I met him, it was a privilege," Issahaku reminisced. "I was so happy to be on the field with him. I used to watch him in training, and it was amazing to share the field with him."

Issahaku further highlighted Ayew's role as a mentor, both on and off the pitch, emphasizing the valuable guidance and advice he has received from the seasoned captain.

"He talks to you about the game, and even off the pitch, we still talk," Issahaku revealed. "He advises me on what to do and what not to do as a player. It's been a great learning experience being around him."
