Jochen Sauer, the Director of Youth Development at Bayern Munich, has shared his thoughts on the acquisition of rising Ghanaian talent Jonah Kusi-Asare in the ongoing transfer window.

The 16-year-old Swedish-born Ghanaian joins the German giants from AIK Solna to continue his development, with the reported transfer fee around 5.3 million Euros.

Jonah Kusi-Asare, a promising young striker, has been making waves in his developmental journey.

Having featured for IF Brommapojkarna Jugend, he later joined the U-19 side of AIK, showcasing his skills and potential on the field.

Despite interest from several European clubs, including PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, and Club Brugge, Bayern Munich secured the young player's services.

Explaining Kusi-Asare’s signing, Jochen Sauer said, “Jonah made his debut for Solna in Sweden's first division when he was just 16 years old and is already very advanced for his age.

We believe in his potential and are pleased that he will take the next steps in his development together with us.”

Kusi-Asare remains eligible to switch allegiance and represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Swedish U16 national youth team.

His long-term contract with Bayern Munich marks a significant step in the young player's promising career.
