Ghana assistant coach, John Paintsil, has sued Multimedia Group, Omni Media Limited, Angel Broadcasting Network, and four other people for defamatory remarks made against him after he was recently appointed.

The defendants, Veronica Commey, Christopher Nimeley, Saddick Adams, and Patrick Osei Agyemang, also known as Countryman Songo, are charged with fabricating information on Paintsil's coaching background.

Ghanaguardian.com has sighted a writ of summons that names seven defendants, with Paintsil being the plaintiff.

While on Angel FM, Saddick Adams demanded an investigation into Paintsil's alleged forgery.

On the other side, Adom TV's popular 'Fire for Fire' program featured Countryman Songo verbally assaulting Paintsil regarding the purportedly fraudulent certificate.

Before Ghana's friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda in Marrakech, John Paintsil was appointed assistant coach to Black Stars head coach Otto Addo.

The defendants will probably respond to the complaint in the coming days.
