Aduana Stars defender, Emmanuel Akuoko insists the team is focused on qualifying for the money zone ahead of their return leg against Algeria side ES Setif in this year’s CAF Champions League.

The Dormaa-based club have a narrow 1-0 first leg advantage and will progress if they can avoid defeat in Algeria on Sunday.

“Our focus is to get the victory on Sunday” he told Kumasi based Kessben FM. “We’re very confident that. We’re going to qualify. We don’t care about intimidation. We’ve experienced a lot of intimidation before. We know definitely they will maltreat us, but we aren’t focusing on that. We’re only focused on how to win to get to the money zone. That’s what we are thinking about” he stated.

Emmanuel also touched on the Sassraku-Elvis Opoku saga and assured that all is well in camp and the bad blood between the two has been resolved.

“Everything has been sorted out. There’s no problem between them. We’ve paired Elvis Opoku and Derrick Sasraku to sleep in one room. They even eat together during breakfast. Everything is fine in camp. What happened is a thing of the past. They’ve forgiven each other. The issue is dead now. Everyone is focused on the game” he said.

The Ghana Premier League Champions could become the first Ghanaian club to make it to the group stages of the competition since Berekum Chelsea in 2012.
