Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere, a Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker, has been recognized for his standout performance by being named in Sofascore's Chinese Super League team of the week.

Owusu-Sekyere showcased his talent for Zhejiang Professional in their recent match against Qingdao West Coast at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Despite Zhejiang's defeat, it was a memorable game for Owusu-Sekyere, who scored a crucial goal to keep his team in contention.

Facing Qingdao West Coast for the first time, Owusu-Sekyere displayed his skills throughout the match, starting the game and playing the full 90 minutes.

In the 30th minute, Nelson da Luz of Qingdao West Coast broke the deadlock with a left-footed shot from the center of the box, assisted by Brayan Riascos during a swift counter-attack.

However, Owusu-Sekyere quickly responded in the 50th minute, netting a right-footed shot from close range after a skillful header from Sun Guowen, bringing Zhejiang back into the game.

Despite Owusu-Sekyere's efforts, Zhejiang couldn't maintain their momentum, as Nelson da Luz scored his second goal in the 66th minute, securing Qingdao's victory.

With four games played and two goals scored in the 2024 Chinese Super League season, Owusu-Sekyere continues to make a significant impact for Zhejiang Professional.
