German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Arthur Kohn has finalized his move to Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray from Bundesliga II club Hannover 96.

The transfer deal, recently concluded with Hannover 96, involves a transfer fee of 3,350,000 euros along with a conditional bonus of 300,000 euros.

Kohn's stellar performances in the Bundesliga II with Hannover caught the attention of several clubs, including Italian side Torino.

However, he ultimately opted for a move to Galatasaray.

During his time at Hannover, Kohn showcased his talent with three goals and six assists in 20 matches, solidifying his reputation as a promising defender.

A former participant in Bayern Munich II, Kohn has signed a long-term contract with Galatasaray until the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, with an option to extend it further to the end of the 2027-28 campaign based on his performance.

Having previously played for Hamburg in the Bundesliga II and Willem II in the Dutch Eredivisie, Kohn's international eligibility remains intriguing.

Despite representing Germany at youth levels, he retains the possibility of representing the Black Stars of Ghana, adding an exciting dimension to his burgeoning career.
