Veteran promoter and a board member of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Alhaji Tofik Muritela, has predicted that Isaac Dogboe could break the unbeaten record of boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

He hailed the self-discipline and conscious work ethics of the 23-year-old fighter as distinct marks which could propel him to attain the undefeated status.

The Ghanaian world title hopeful will fight Mexican Cesar Juarez at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra on January 6.

Alhaji Tofik told the Graphic Sports in an interview in Accra yesterday that the boxer was poised to stop the Mexican and improve upon his fight record to 18-0.

“Dogboe is something else; he has discipline and the way he takes his training seriously is unimaginable,” he noted.

According to him despite the toughness of his opponent in Juarez, the Mexican would be no much for the Ghanaian.

Alhaji Tofik likened Dogboe’s training regimen and work rate to that of the legendary Azumah Nelson during his heyday and stressed that the diminutive brawler would better the record of Azumah.

He stated that Dogboe would cause sensation in world boxing soon.
