Swansea City and West Ham have finally reached an agreement for the transfer of Ghanaian international Andre Ayew on deadline day.

The Swans paid a club record £18m rising to £20m through add-ons to bring the deputy Black Stars skipper back to the club where he enjoyed a stellar debut season in the Premier League.

He put pen to paper on a three-and-half-year contract and is expected to form a deadly attacking partnership with his younger brother Jordan who has been arguably the club's best player this season.

Andre joined the Hammers 18 months ago but struggled to establish himself, starting only 25 Premier League games for the club.

A West Ham statement said: "Everyone at West Ham United wishes Andre a successful future with Swansea City."
