Elmina Sharks have entered a transfer battle with Kotoko to sign former Inter Allies striker Federick Boateng.

Sharks, in a bid to outwit the Kotoko,  have already made 100,000 offer to Boateng, who is closed to signing for Porcupine warriors.

Club Chairman Dr Ndoum is reported to have had a conversation on phone with Boateng to make that huge offer 100,000 for two years.

Boateng returned to the country as  a free agent after quitting a contract in Oman and hence is free to join any club that comes his way with the best of opportunities and offers.

According to sources, Boateng is set to play for Kotoko come Wednesday in the G8 match week two against Dreams FC, who were recently promoted, scheduled to kick off at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi.

But the Central Regional-based side are set to snatch  the player in a bid to bolster their threadbare attacking options.
