Energy think tank the Institute of Energy Security (IES) has blamed the political polarization at the Bulk Oil Storage Transport Company (BOST) for the incessant changes of leadership at the company.

BOST has had three managing directors since the New Patriotic Party took office in January 2017 with Alfred Obeng been the first to exit the scene after a contaminated oil sale scandal.

His replacement was Mr. George Okley Mensah who until Tuesday 26th August ,2019 was the managing director of BOST.

It remains unclear what led to the resignation of Mr George Okley Mensah but the volatile BOST hot seat will welcome Mr Edwin Provencaln as the new MD.

Speaking in an interview the Executive Director of IES, Paa Kwasi Anamoah Sakyi believes the highly volatile situation with the BOST hot seat is due to the huge political polarization that exist.

“It’s a very complex thing with a lot of vested interest it is equally politically polarized with a lot of private interest in there so you will require a lot of tact to be able to manage the various stakeholders there with all the private interest.

“All that is required of him is to be a leader and a unifier” he added.
