“They have trained for a long time with their coaches. The players have the ability and the physical attitude for the game. I think they would be strong in Dubai.” Salgado admired.
The Spaniard, who is now a coach, added that he expected Lizzy Academy to reach far in the Dubai tournament.
“I know the kids now, so there would no surprises for me if they go through. I know that they (LSA) are going to be a tough team to beat.”
The academy would compete with big teams across the globe like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Celta Vigo, Liverpool, AC Milan, as well as teams from Asia, North Africa and South America.
The Lizzy Academy is owned by 1998 FIFA World Cup winner, Marcel Desailly, and was formed in 2010 and has trained a lot of Ghanaian talents as well as other international talents.
The academy has won the World Youth Championship Cup three times (2015, 2016 and 2017) in Sweden and Norway.
