Former Ghana international Yussif Chibsah believes Daniel Amartey is being treated unfairly by Leicester City and cautioned the Foxes not to waste his talent.

According to him the Ghanaian’s decision to leave his club at the middle of the season and play in the Africa Cup of Nations is the real reason why he has struggled to get into the Leicester City team this season.

Amartey was handed just a second Premier League start this season in Leicester City’s 3-0 thrashing over Huddersfield at the King Power Stadium on Monday. He had previously made only three substitute appearances for the Foxes all season.

The former Asante Kotoko captain in a rant on his official Instagram page wrote;

“Watching @danamartey these past 3 games, am very much convinced that @lcfc needs to give him more chance. I dont think he's been given fair chance to compete since his return from the previous CAF Nations Cup. U cant waste the talent of such a young prospect. Congratulations to u @danamartey for ur calmness and high rate of professionalism all these while. Not ll players can endure this. Big ups, my boy”
