Fatau Dauda, Ghana's goalkeepers trainer, has shared his joy over the impressive development of his former Enyimba FC teammate, Stanley Nwabali.

Dauda reminisced about their time together as roommates in Nigeria, where they both played for the renowned Aba-based club.

During this period, Dauda played a mentoring role in shaping Nwabali's career as the young goalkeeper was rising through the ranks.

Nwabali's breakthrough came at the Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast, where he earned his first call-up to the Nigerian national team just before the tournament.

Remarkably, he swiftly established himself as Nigeria's primary goalkeeper, playing a pivotal role in their journey to the final of the prestigious competition.

Despite Nigeria's loss to Ivory Coast in the final, Nwabali's stellar performances earned him widespread acclaim and recognition.

"We used to share the same locker room in Aba Nigeria in 2019 with the most successful club in Nigeria (Enyimba International Football Club), the People's Elephant.

Keep on being a listener as always. Stanley Nwabali aka 'BoBo', stay focused and keep pushing, I wish you all the best in your career," Dauda wrote on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Dauda's heartfelt message reflects the bond and camaraderie shared between teammates and highlights the pride he feels in witnessing Nwabali's journey to success.

The reunion between the former teammates during Ghana and Nigeria's friendly match in Marrakech last month further underscored the enduring connection forged on and off the field.
