As the 2024 Futsal African Cup of Nations approaches, Timothy Kantanka, captain of the Futsal National Team, has expressed confidence in his team's readiness for the tournament set to kick off in Morocco on Thursday.

Ghana finds itself in Group A, alongside Zambia, Angola, and hosts Morocco, marking their return to the tournament since their last appearance in 1996.

Kantanka, who led the team to secure their historic qualification to the tournament by overturning a 4-0 first-leg defeat against Ivory Coast, emphasized the team's optimism and preparedness for the upcoming challenge.

Following weeks of rigorous preparations and engaging in pre-tournament friendlies, Kantanka believes that the team is well-prepared to make Ghana proud at the tournament.

"Preparations have been good, and we are ready for the tournament. We expect a victorious campaign. Qualifying for the World Cup is our target, and then we will focus on winning the trophy," Kantanka disclosed, highlighting the team's ambitious goals for the tournament.
