Turkish Superlig club Galatasaray S.K. is on the brink of securing the services of German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn from Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96.

The 25-year-old left-back, of Ghanaian descent, is poised to finalize his move to the Turkish top-flight team, with the transfer window in Turkey still open.

According to reports from the German press, the former Bayern Munich II player is en route to Istanbul to undergo mandatory medical examinations.

If he passes the health checks, he is expected to seal the deal on Friday.

Sky reports that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, with a transfer fee of €3.7 million plus a 10% onward transfer clause.

Initially, Hannover 96 rejected an offer of €3.5 million, but negotiations have since progressed.

Kohn's contract with Hannover 96 was set to expire on June 30, 2025. However, due to his reluctance to fulfill his remaining contractual obligations, he is now set to depart the Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena.

Despite representing the Germany U19 national youth team, Kohn remains eligible to switch allegiance and represent Ghana at the international level.
