Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended its condolences to the people of Egypt in the aftermath of a terror attack on a Sufi mosque in northern Sinai that has claimed the lives of over 300 people.

According to Egypt's state prosecutor, death toll in a bomb and gun attack on the mosque has risen to 305, with 27 children among the dead, another 128 people were injured.

The FA took to its twitter account to express the following sentiments regarding the unfortunate incident.

”We stand with our brothers #Egypt after the attack on a mosque. We are devastated by the loss of lives and our condolences go out the families and people of #Egypt . Our hearts cry for the beautiful kids who lost their lives and families torn apart forever #PrayForEgypt”

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has vowed to respond to the massacre -- believed to be the deadliest terror attack on the country's soil -- with "brute force."
