The Ghana Football Association is set to organize the inaugural edition of the U15 Girls Inter-Regional Challenge Cup at its technical center in Prampram, the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.

This initiative comes as part of the Association's efforts to establish four new age group national teams for both boys and girls, aiming to bolster developmental pathways in Ghanaian football.

President Kurt. E.S. Okraku, also the Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee, disclosed that the U15 Girls Inter-Regional Challenge Cup is scheduled for June 2024 at Prampram.

The competition will serve as a vital platform for national team coaches to scout and nurture promising talents, channeling them into the appropriate age group national teams for further development.

This event marks a significant step forward for women's football development in Ghana, complementing existing initiatives such as the KGL U17 Regional Championship for boys.

The establishment of new national teams spanning U-16, U-18, U-19, U-21 for boys and U-16, U-18, U-19, U-21, and U23 for girls underscores the FA's commitment to fostering talent progression across various age categories.

With a strategic focus on elevating women's football and enhancing competitiveness at all levels, the Association aims to catalyze positive impacts on the performance of national teams.

Players identified across the age groups will undergo systematic progression, receiving comprehensive training, local and international exposure, thereby shaping their development trajectory within the football landscape.
