The two biggest clubs in the country, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko secured qualification to the knock out phase of the ongoing GHALCA G8 tournament on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors beat Aduana Stars by 2-0 courtesy of goals by Eric Donkor and Kwame Boahene in their final game to finish Group A as winners with newly promoted Dreams Fc as runners-up.

Hearts needed two crucial late goals from substitute Richard Zuma to hand them a vital 3-2 win over improved Ebusua Dwarfs.

The result meant that the Phobians advance from Group B as runners-up on 6 points while Medeama who played out a goalless draw against Karela United at the Nduom Spots Stadium win the Group with 7 points.

According to the stipulations of the competition the winner of Group A will face the second placed team in Group B, while the runners up in Group A will face the winner of Group B in the next round.

The permutations of the semi-finals of the tournament would therefore see;
