The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) says that it is writing to the federal aviation administration and the department of transportation in the USA to seek clarity about Global Ghana Airlines which has published the sale of passengers.

The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority has cautioned members of the public not to patronize the services of this new carrier since they do not have the requisite license to operate in the country.

Global Ghana airline has published the sale of tickets to passengers offering flights from Chicago to Accra.

It is the second that Global Ghana airlines have published tickets to passengers even though they do not have the required license to operate.

The director of civil economic regulation and business development of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Rev Steven Wilfred Arthur says that they would contact their colleagues in the USA to ascertain their authenticity.

According to him since their route is from Chicago to Ghana they will enquire from the US FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) if such an operator exists on their register and take the necessary action.

He also added that the airline selling tickets without having the permission of the regulator was illegal.
