Ghana's coach, Otto Addo, has stressed the importance of patience and time in the wake of the Black Stars' 2-2 draw against Uganda.

Following a previous defeat to the Super Eagles, Ghana sought to rebound but settled for a draw against Uganda, despite goals from Jerome Opoku and Jordan Ayew.

Addo faces the daunting task of rebuilding the team after their disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

Speaking to the media post-match, the 46-year-old emphasized the necessity of patience in constructing a competitive team capable of achieving success.

“Finishing must be better under pressure. It’s a lot of work, it’s a lot of work but I have to say this is what I expected because…we were not good even before I came so it’s a process," he remarked.

Compounding the team's challenges, Alidu Seidu and Mohammed Salisu received red cards in the closing stages of the game.

Attention now turns to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where Ghana is set to confront Mali and the Central African Republic in June, underlining the ongoing hurdles and ambitions for the Black Stars.
