AFC Wimbledon striker Kwesi Appiah has undergone a successful operation to correct the hamstring problem which has kept him out of action for over 3 months.

The Ghanaian international picked up the injury in his is side’s 2-0 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons back in September, 2017.

After several complications in his recovery process Appiah went under the knife to finally put to an end his re occurring hamstring issues .

He posted this statement on his Twitter page;

“Over the past 3 months we have tried all we can using conservative measures to aide the healing of my hamstring injury but have not had much luck.

Today I have had a successful operation an I’m on mend. Feeling very positive and motivated. Can’t wait to get stuck into the rehab and back playing”

A timeline for his return will be established at a later date.
