Chinese children will benefit from a football training programme in Ghana, a deal made possible by the First lady Rebecca Akuffo Addo.

The first lady on her recent visit to China signed a Memeronadum Of Understanding for the  countries to organise   "recreational exchange programme."

Under the deal,ten  Ghanaian children will benefit from "lovely opportunity " to be trained in Martial Arts in China, whiles the West African country will reciprocate her side of the deal by using her facilities to  train 10 Chinese children in football.

It is not yet known how many years the deal will last but according to the first lady the deal "will benefit Ghanaian children."

"Am very excited about a lovely opportunity that will benefit Ghanaian children. An MOU between Ghana and China was signed under the aegis of my foundation ,Rebecca Foundation," the first lady said in a tweet.

"The aim of the MOU is to organise a recreational exchange programme where ten Ghanaian Children will be sent to China. They will be trained in martial arts and ping-pong and ten Chinese kids will come to Ghana to be trained in football."

The first lady led of  a delegation of women entrepreneurs and members of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) on a eight day official visit to the Asia.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Professor Kwasi Yankah, Minister of State at the Ministry of Education and Ghana’s Ambassador to China H.E. Edward Boateng.

The Chinese government has dedicated resources to develop football and this deal with Ghana comes as massive booster to the Asian country.

Ghana remains a strong football nation in Africa with a spectacular youth development program in football that saw them won the 2009 under world cup in Egypt.
