Ghanaian defender Isaac Donkor, currently playing for Sakaryaspor in the TFF First League, faced a setback in his team's recent match against Eyapspor, resulting in a 3-2 defeat.

Donkor's woes began when he received two yellow cards during the game, leading to his expulsion after 51 minutes of play.

Despite Eyapspor's struggle to capitalize on their numerical advantage, Sakaryaspor managed to secure a late 80th-minute winner, sealing the victory.

The loss was disappointing for Sakaryaspor, who had hoped to salvage at least a draw despite being down to ten men. Donkor's subsequent suspension will force the team to navigate their next fixture without one of their key players.

The 28-year-old defender, who hails from Kumasi, Ghana, has been instrumental for Sakaryaspor since joining from Adanaspor on a free transfer, featuring in 18 matches this season in the Turkish second-tier league.

Having begun his career at Padova Youth in Italy, Donkor has garnered experience from stints at prominent clubs such as Inter Milan, Bari, and Cesena, as well as spells in Romania with CS U Craiova and Austria with Sturm Graz. Despite his seasoned background, Donkor's red card means he will have to sit out the upcoming game.

Sakaryaspor's defeat to Eyapspor poses a setback in their pursuit of promotion to the Turkish Super Lig. However, the team remains resolute in their determination to bounce back from this setback and continue their push for a top-flight berth.
