Ghanaian international defender Lumor Agbenyenu has inked a one-year deal with Austrian second division side SV Ried, set to conclude on June 30, 2025.

The 27-year-old left-back, previously associated with Sporting CP and Malaga CF, makes the move to SV Ried from Greek top-flight team AE Kifisias during the ongoing January transfer window.

The official announcement from SV Ried welcomed Lumor Agbenyenu, stating, "After Ante Bajic, SV Guntamatic Ried can announce another new addition: left-back Lumor Agbenyenu is now playing in the Innviertel. The 27-year-old Ghanaian, who last played for Greek club AE Kifisias, has signed a contract until 2025."

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new chapter, Lumor emphasized his commitment to contributing his best efforts to help SV Ried secure promotion to the top flight by the end of the current campaign.

He conveyed, "The club has the big goal of getting promoted back to the Bundesliga. I would like to help as much as I can. I am convinced that it is now the right decision for me to play for SV Guntamatic Ried. The first impressions in Ried were very positive.”

Lumor Agbenyenu, with experience at TSV 1860 Munich during a loan spell, has earned 14 international caps with the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars.

His addition to SV Ried brings depth and experience to the Austrian side's defensive lineup as they pursue their goal of returning to the Bundesliga.
