Ghana celebrates the recognition of two of its esteemed FIFA Referees, Abdul Lateef Adaari and Emmanuel Dolagbanu, who have received nominations for the prestigious WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra.

Abdul Lateef Adaari, a 36-year-old referee with 7 years on the FIFA list, is not only a seasoned official but also a dedicated teacher by profession.

Adaari's expertise extends beyond domestic football, as he officiates in CAF competitions and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Emmanuel Dolagbanu, aged 34, joined the ranks of FIFA referees in 2024, demonstrating remarkable skill and professionalism on the field.

Dolagbanu's officiating prowess is evident in various competitions, including the Ghana Premier League, CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup, and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Notably, he served as an Assistant Referee in the recent African Games held in Accra.

These two distinguished Ghanaian referees have been selected as part of the officiating team for the biennial competition scheduled to take place in Accra next month.

The 2024 WAFU Zone U-17 Cup of Nations promises to be an exhilarating event, showcasing the talents of emerging football stars.

Scheduled from Wednesday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the tournament will feature prominent teams from the region, including host Ghana, defending champions Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, and Niger.

The participation of Adaari and Dolagbanu underscores Ghana's commitment to excellence in football officiating and reinforces the nation's pivotal role in promoting football development within the WAFU Zone B region.
