The Deputy Minister of Finance and the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency, Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo has organized free health screening for Akyem Anyinasin community in the Eastern region.

Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo in collaboration with the Roshelle Brago Boakye Foundation brought together various health professionals and volunteers to create health awareness.

The motive behind the health screening is to detect any potential health problems before they become severe in the area.

Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo said that health screening is a preventive measure that can help identify any underlying health conditions that the people may not be aware of adding that health professionals are targeting three thousand people (3000) in the Abuakwa North Constituency.

Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo stated that early detection of diseases will enable health experts to treat conditions for better outcomes and lower the risk of serious complications.

''As a politician, the health of my constituents is my main concern, that is why I came out with this health screening program,'' she said.

Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo added that the residents of the Akyem Anyinasin community don’t have enough time to visit hospital for medical examination due to their occupation.

She explained that the health screening will reduce cancer deaths, diabetes, hypertension and other health problems in the community.

She urged the residents to participate in the ongoing health screening exercise to help detect early stages of diseases in their bodies.

The beneficiaries also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the health screening program in the community.
