An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Anthony Yeboah has dismissed Great Olympics’ application for an interlocutory injunction on the commencement of the Ghana Premier League and the Division One League.

The season was expected to kick off last month but the Accra-based club filed for an injunction to stop the league from starting insisting their league status must be known despite placing 14th in the 16-club league – a position that gets clubs relegated by default.

The Wonder Club wanted a court injunction on the commencement of the 2017/18 campaign claiming the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA failed to give them a fair hearing in their protest filed against Bechem United after fielding an unqualified player.

However in his ruling, Justice Yeboah dismissed the application in his ruling delivered on Thursday 15th March, 2018.

The court’s ruling therefore paves way for the Ghana Premier League and the Division One League to commence.
