Hafiz Adams finally put pen on paper on Friday to complete the move

Captain of Wa All Stars Hafiz Adams has completed a switch to premier league champions Aduana Stars.

The 26-year old had been training with the Dormaa-based side after Wa All Stars endorsed the move that will see him taste another continental competition.

He however signed a 3-years deal on Friday with the Dormaa-based, side after all agreements were signed  and sealed.

"It's true I joined Aduana about 3 weeks now having training with Ogya boys but I had not complete with my personal terms," Hafiz Adams told ghanaguardian.com

"But I thank God I have finished my personal terms with Aduana. I'm very happy I finalised everything on Friday "

The signing of Adams is meant to fill in the void left by captain Godfred Saka who had gone for a trial at Nigerian Professional League side Eyimba FC.His deal however  fell through.

But Head Coach Yusif Abubakar, who had earlier confirmed the capture of  Hafiz, intimated that the team needed him seriously for their Africa  campaign, with or without Godfred Saka.

“Even if  Godfred Saka comes back, we need a very strong all round team. He is just there for trial but if he is not successful we will welcome him back. He is out of contract but is still with us because we have not said goodbye yet.”

But Saka insists he is not going  to return to  Aduana Stars after his contract expired last month, a decision that will see Hafiz taken a full responsibility of the right back role.

Hafiz becomes the second signing for Aduana Stars as they augment their squad ahead of the CAF Champions League next season.

Last month, they confirmed the signing of Medeama left back Justice Anane on a 3-year contract.

The Fire Boys will be competing in three competitions next season; the Ghana Premier League, FA Cup as well as the CAF Champions League.

Aduana’s last appearance in the CAF Champions league in 2011 ended in a first round exit to Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Casablanca. But Abubabar is expecting the two-time Ghana premier league champions to go a step further this time.
