Hearts of Oak progressed to the next stage of the FA cup by a gifted own goal after opponents  Young Wise exhibited an absolute unproductive football on Sunday.

The Phobians produced a gritty performance at the soggy Zaytuna park but were able to hold their solitary, lead despite some flashes of threatening moments from  the homesters, who could have equalised in the dying embers of the game.

Scottish coach Frank Nuttal, who has been bemoaning lately because of the drop in performance, threw in a strong starting line up that had Thomas Abbey, Kwame Kizito and Robin Gnagne all in the team.

Division one side Young wise who defeated Great Olympics on their way to reaching this stage started the game very well but were ultimately let down by their inexperience.

Despite taking total lion's share of possession, an own goal from Abdul Rahman was the difference as the Rainbow club just did enough to make it to the next stage.

Hearts will now wait to see their next opponent in a draw  that has  Medeama, who eliminated  fellow premier League side Elmina Sharks whiles division one side Danbort Fc beat Liberty Professionals 9-8 on penalties, after drawing 1 all at regulation time.
