Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has endorsed Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus as the most suitable candidate to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, should the Egyptian forward depart Anfield in the upcoming transfer window.

Salah has been a standout performer for Liverpool since his arrival from AS Roma in 2017, but speculation surrounds his future, with a potential move to Saudi Arabia on the cards.

Enrique, who represented Liverpool from 2011 to 2016, believes Kudus, currently impressing at West Ham United, could seamlessly fill Salah's shoes at Liverpool.

"In Mohammed Kudus, I see a potential replacement for Salah," Enrique shared with Grosvenor Sport. "Even last summer, I would have said the same, and now he's showcasing his talents at West Ham. There aren't many obvious replacements out there, but Kudus stands out."

Enrique also suggested Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze and Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane as viable options to replace Salah, considering their abilities and potential availability.

Kudus has made a significant impact in his debut Premier League season since joining West Ham from Ajax Amsterdam, contributing to 17 goals across all competitions with 12 goals and five assists.

With Liverpool possibly in search of a successor to Salah, Kudus emerges as a promising candidate to carry on the legacy of the Egyptian forward at Anfield.
