The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region has distributed over 1,500 mono and dual desks to schools in the municipality to boost teaching and learning.

The distribution will play a significant role in the effectiveness of students and their performance in the municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi during the presentation that President Akufo Addo is committed to improving teaching and learning in the country.

According to him, the president has made education attractive for the Ghanaian youth, adding that enrollment in school has gone up in the municipality.

The MCE assured that the assembly will support the Municipal Education Directorate in the discharge of its duties to enhance teaching and learning in Koforidua.

Madam Matilda Botchwey, the Public Relations Officer of the Municipal Education Directorate, who received the desks on behalf of the Directorate, expressed gratitude to the government for supporting the education system and added that the desks will help the schools in the municipality admit more students.
