Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed he will not stand for re-election when his current term expires in 2019.

Nyantakyi is Ghana’s longest serving FA capo, having been elected into office in December 2005 and is serving a third term in office.

“I will not contest 2019 GFA presidency”- Nyantekyi disclosed in an interview with Vision 1 fm.

He also debunked rumors that he was backing Dreams FC Executive Chairman Kurt Okraku for the top seat when his 14-year tenure as Ghana FA boss ends next year.

Nyantekyi has risen to become 1st vice president of CAF where he on the Executive Committee member and also a member of the new FIFA Council.
