Ghanaian football icon Andre Ayew found immense satisfaction in scoring against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), citing his previous ties with Olympique Marseille, PSG's arch-rivals.

Having spent eight years at Marseille, Ayew's goal for Le Havre in their 3-3 draw against PSG at the Parc des Princes on Saturday carried significant meaning, delaying PSG's expected Ligue 1 title celebrations.

In a post-match interview with journalist Nana Ama Agyemang, Ayew emphasized the intense rivalry between PSG and Marseille, stating, "It is a good feeling, you know, to score against Paris, especially because I am a Marseille boy. The rivalry between the two clubs is very significant."

Reflecting on his current situation, Ayew expressed contentment with his physical condition and gradual return to top form, saying, "Everything is going really well. Personally, I am physically fit.

I am gradually regaining my optimal form. I was sidelined due to an injury for a period of time, which prevented me from signing with a club early on."

Ayew's sentiment underscores the enduring impact of club allegiances and rivalries in football, adding depth to his performance and satisfaction on the field.
