Former President John Dramani Mahama has tasked the African Union to respond strongly to Donald Trump's insults to Africans.
Mr. Mahama while adding his voice to the controversial comments made by the American President where he was reported to make reference to Africans and Haitians as coming from “shithole” countries said the inappropriate comments must be condemned.
The US President was reported to have referred to some countries as “shithole” when a proposal on a bipartisan deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was presented to him Thursday.
The comment which has sparked outrage from Blacks and Africans across the world has received immediate reaction from Botswana who have summoned the US Ambassador in the country to express their displeasure on the issue.
Former President Mahama who took to his social media page to criticize Trump's comment stated that the US President was demonstrating that he is nothing but a racist.
