Media personality and entertainment analyst, Ola Michael, has predicted that John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, will emerge victorious in the upcoming 2024 elections, but will face significant challenges.

He stated that due to the economic turmoil associated with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahama will find it difficult to restore national stability after winning.

The commentator has expressed concerns that by 2027, the hardships may lead the NPP to encourage the country's youth to violently oppose Mahama, potentially causing him to regret his presidency.

Ola advised that to prevent such scenarios, Mahama must ensure the recovery of misappropriated state funds to strengthen the economy.

“The results of this year’s election will favor the former president [Mahama], but in two years, the country will witness something unprecedented and dangerous. It will be similar to what is happening in Kenya, but not on the same scale. The youth of this country will rise up against him.

“The reason is that the same people who created the mess will orchestrate this suffering for him. One way to avoid this in 2027 is to reclaim some of the money that has been taken from the country’s coffers. If he remains indifferent, by 2027, he will regret being president,” he said on Neat FM.

Mahama is gearing up to compete against NPP's flagbearer Dr. Bawumia and other political party candidates.

The elections are scheduled for December 7, 2024.
