Ghanaian attacker Malik Abubakari has conveyed his excitement after completing a loan move to Danish club Viborg FF from Swedish top-flight side Malmo FF.

The 23-year-old forward, known for his goal-scoring prowess, is set to play a significant role for Viborg in the remainder of the season.

Abubakari, a former player for HJK Helsinki, has joined Viborg on an initial six-month loan deal, including an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

He expressed his enthusiasm about the move and shared positive impressions of the club.

"I have already got a really good impression of the club and have met some good people, so it feels great to be here.

I have spoken to Razak Pimpong after I first heard about the interest from Viborg, and he has told me many good things about both the club and the city, so this has also given me great faith that VFF is the right place for me to be," Abubakari stated.

He further emphasized the exciting project at Viborg, citing their offensive style of play and the presence of many young players as attractive elements.

Abubakari looks forward to meeting his teammates, starting to play, and connecting with the fans.

The Ghanaian attacker had a loan spell at Slovan Bratislava earlier in the 2023/24 season, making 27 appearances, scoring four goals, and providing an assist.

Now, he embarks on a new challenge with Viborg FF, aiming to contribute to the team's success in the Danish top-flight.
