Medeama SC have confirmed their participation in this year’s G8 tournament after honoring an invitation from GHALCA.

They are in to replace WAFA, who pulled out of the tournament late last week.

The Tarkwa based club took to Twitter on Sunday to confirm their participation. “We would like to inform our fans that we will participate in the G8 tournament. The club has decided to honour the invitation from GHALCA” it said.

Medeama takes WAFA’s slot in Group B alongside Hearts of Oak, Ebusua Dwarfs and newly promoted Premier League side, Karela United.

The competition kicks off on January 6, 2018.
