Reports about one of GhOne's top news anchor Kemini Amanor, leaving the station to join rival TV station TV3 went rife late last year.

The move however did not happen with many attributing it to a timely intervention of EIB Network's CEO, Nathan Kwabena Adisi better known as Bola Ray.

Speaking on the issue for the first time, the award winning news anchor explained in an interview that the move to TV3 did not happen because some Men of God told her it wasn't the right time to move.

Affirming that the move was in motion, she explained saying;“Yeah, I took the contract but I didn’t return it. It was at a time that I felt it was difficult to break through that ceiling because GHOne had all the big names so I thought let me move to somewhere I can stand out.So when TV3 called, I thought I was going to go but it was not to be".

The mother of one added that;“While I am not so much of a church-goer, I am very spiritual. Men of God kept telling me it wasn’t a good time to move so I had to write TV3 a long letter to apologise".

Kemini who is a product of St. Mary’s Senior High School in Accra, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with Geography from the University of Ghana and a professional certificate in radio and TV broadcasting from RABODEF Radio Academy.

Prior to her joining the EIB Network, Kemini had stints with Multimedia, Vibe FM and Pravda Radio.
