West Ham United has officially confirmed that midfielder Mohammed Kudus will not be available for Ghana's upcoming international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.

While the exact reason for his withdrawal was not disclosed, reports suggest that Kudus sustained a shoulder injury, preventing his participation with the Black Stars in Morocco.

The English Premier League club is expected to provide a medical report to the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday regarding Kudus's condition.

"Michail Antonio and Mohammed Kudus have withdrawn from the Jamaica and Ghana squads respectively, having been called up by their countries earlier this month," stated West Ham on their official website.

Kudus recently completed the full match duration in West Ham's 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

His absence will undoubtedly be felt by Otto Addo, who had hoped to build the foundation of his new Black Stars team around the talented West Ham midfielder.

In light of Kudus's unavailability, Belgium-based midfielder Francis Abu has been called up as his replacement as Ghana prepares for their encounters against Nigeria and Uganda in Marrakech.

The Black Stars are scheduled to face the Super Eagles on Friday, followed by a match against Uganda four days later.
