President Nana Akufo-Addo has admitted that he has completely forgotten about the 2014 Brazil Commission Report in his encounter with the media after one year in office.

The Dzamefe Commission of Inquiry was constituted by Former President John Dramani Mahama to look into circumstances surrounding Ghana’s chaotic campaign at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The committee worked for about 4 months spanning between August 4 and December 14, 2014.

Speaking to the media to at the Flagstaff House on Wednesday, 17 January, the president said:

“I have forgotten about the 2014 white paper, but I know that my Minister of Sports is fully up to it and will advice in due course what should be the reaction of my government to it”

He confessed the findings of the Commission is not something that has been on his radar.

The Commission was chaired by Mr. Justice Senyo Dzamefe, an Appeal Court Judge; his compatriots were Mr. Moses Foh-Amoaning, a legal practitioner and Mr. Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko, a sports enthusiast.
