Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo says that new players who joined the team recently have integrated very well and is happy about that.

He says that it is always a danger when new players join a group which has achieved success before they joined.

Ghana in July this year announced the nationality switch of five new players with the likes of Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Ransford Yeboah-Konigsdorffer, Patric Pfeiffer, Stephan Ambrosius.

While Mohammed Salisu who was born in Ghana decided to play for Ghana after turning down several call-ups.

Three of these new players made their debut for Ghana in the 3-0 defeat to Brazil on Friday night in Le Havre.

Speaking on integrating the new players into the squad, Addo said as quoted by France24, "It is always a danger to get new players, especially if the players who are there before achieved something really, really good."

"There is a group dynamic which I don't want to break, but I think from what I saw they were welcomed well.

"They did well in training and got along with each other and it's not like they were strangers. Before some knew each other from playing in the same league and everything is okay."

"It's a good situation. We have pressure from the bench because new people are there who are very, very solid in Europe, and we have players on the pitch who have to prove themselves."

Ghana will engage Nicaragua in a friendly on Tuesday in Spain as part of the preparations for the 2022 World Cup.

Ghana has been housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay with the World Cup set to start from November 20 to December 18.
