NFL player says he his ancestors are from Ghana and Nigeria

NFL quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick, says he traces his roots to West African nations, Ghana and Nigeria.
The 29 year old said he discovered this after he took an Ancestry DNA to trace his original roots.
He added that, his signature Afro hair is due to his acceptance of his roots as an African.
Kaepernick who been voicing concerns over racial inequality and police violence was recently in the news for kneeling during the national anthem before games since the preseason as a sign of his protest.
