President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA), Kurt E.S Okraku says that new Spain recruit Nico Williams will come home to play for Ghana at some point.

Nico Williams who is the younger brother of Inaki Williams chose to represent Spain where he was born. In contrast, his senior brother who Spain overlooked after one cap has now decided to play for Ghana and played on Tuesday night against Nicaragua in a friendly match.

The Ghana FA President believes there will be a u-turn like what Inaki did after turning down overtures from Ghana several times but quickly came back home when he realized that his options at Spain were closed.

However, Mr. Okraku speaking in an interview reiterated that Nico has decided to feature for Spain but remains optimistic that he will eventually play for Ghana.

"Listen to me, Nico is Ghanaian (laughs)," Kurt Okraku told deia.eus.

"To this day he has been summoned by Spain. I wish him the best, but Nico will come home. I know he's coming home.”

"Look, Iñaki also played with Spain. We'll keep talking, he's one of us," he added.

The 20-year-old Athletic Bilbao winger Tuesday earned his second cap for Spain after he was introduced into the game in the 73rd minute as a replacement for Ferran Torres in only his second game for Spain.
